More storms possible overnight, ending around 3 a.m.

HARRISONBURG VA: (Rocktown Now) – The chance for strong thunderstorms will continue overnight with the best chance being until around 1 or 2 a.m. Some lingering showers may continue into the early morning hours.

According to the National Weather Service, multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected. Scattered instances of flash flooding are possible, especially if heavier rain falls over urban and poor drainage areas. Scattered damaging wind gusts or a few tornadoes are possible, as well.

Tonight: partly cloudy and humid with a heavy thunderstorm around. Watch for flash flooding. Low 70. Winds west-southwest 4-8 mph.

Tomorrow: times of clouds and sun with a couple of showers; very warm and humid. High 89. Winds northwest 6-12 mph.

Tomorrow night: mainly clear; fog late and humid. Low 67. Winds north-northwest 4-8 mph.

Tuesday: partly sunny and humid. High 86. Winds north-northwest 4-8 mph.

Wednesday: mostly sunny with a passing shower. High 87. Winds south-southeast 4-8 mph.

Thursday: times of clouds and sun with a thunderstorm; humid. High 83. Winds southwest 3-6 mph.
