ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Massanutten Regional Library’s annual Summer Reading Program starts today, and the library says that the goal is to encourage “thousands” of Valley residents to pick up a book over the next couple of months.
Library Director Zach Elder says that the theme of this year’s program is “Adventure Begins at Your Library.” He told Rocktown Now that although folks may think it’s geared toward kids, the program is actually open to kids of all ages – and nothing is off limits.
Participants will be asked to track their reading progress through an online tool, where they can become eligible for prizes and other perks.
