HARRISONBURG, Va. (JMU Athletics) – James Madison men’s basketball added another piece to its 2026-27 roster as the Dukes signed San Jose State transfer and Virginia native Adrian Myers on Monday, June 1.
Myers, a 6-foot-6 forward from Stephens City, Va., spent the first two seasons of his career at Mississippi State (2023-25), followed by a season at San Jose State (2025-26).
He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining after he redshirted the 2024-25 season at Mississippi State.
“Adrian brings diverse experience back home to Virginia after playing in two of college basketball’s most respected leagues,” Head Coach Preston Spradlin said. “He is a gifted scorer who can stretch the floor with his shooting, along with using his size and physicality to impact the game on the interior.”

2025-26 (San Jose State):
• Appeared in 28 games, making 22 starts as a redshirt sophomore
• Averaged 11.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game
• Shot 42.9 percent from the field, 37.2 percent from three, along with leading the Spartans with 21 blocks
• Career-high 34 points at Air Force (2/24), shooting 11-for-18 from the floor and 8-for-9 from three while adding seven rebounds
• His eight threes tied a San Jose State school record
• In his final eight games, Myers averaged 19.4 points and eight rebounds per game, along with three double-doubles
• Finished with 14 games with 10 or more points and four with 20-plus points, which included his 34-point game
• Scored 21 points and collected 13 rebounds against Nevada (2/17), knocking down five threes
• Finished with 17 points and a career-high 16 rebounds against Fresno State (3/3)
• Dished out a career-high eight assists at UNLV (2/10)
2024-25 (Mississippi State):
• Redshirted the 2024-25 season
2023-24 (Mississippi State):
• Made 10 appearances as a freshman, averaging 1.0 points and 0.5 rebounds per game
• First career points came on a three-pointer against North Alabama (11/14)
• Also hit a three at No. 24 Alabama (2/3)
High School:
• Played high school basketball at Massanutten Military Academy
• Averaged 22.1 points and 9.6 rebounds per game while shooting 44 percent from behind the arc during his senior season
• Played for DC Premier on the Under Armour Circuit in Summer 2022
