HARRISONBURG, Va. (JMU Athletics) – James Madison lacrosse defender Olivia Rongo has been named a 2026 Nike Lacrosse Media Third Team All-American by ILWomen, the outlet announced on Friday afternoon.

The All-American honors from ILWomen are Rongo’s second of the postseason, with the previous coming from USA Lacrosse magazine. The nod is JMU’s third total of the postseason.

The senior has emerged as one of the best defenders in the country. The Westhampton, N.Y native set the JMU single-season caused turnover record with 59 and led the Dukes in ground balls with 56, earning Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference honors from the American. The IWLCA All-South Region honoree’s 2.81 caused turnovers per contest led the American Conference and ranked ninth in the country, while her 2.67 ground balls per game placed her second in the American and ranked 23rd nationally.

James Madison completed the 2026 season 14-7, repeating as American Conference Champions and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Championship.
