Hot, humid weather ahead, followed by a cool down late in the week

HARRISONBURG VA – (Rocktown Now) – Hot and humid air will continue over the Shenandoah Valley for at least the first couple days of this week. Temperatures today through Tuesday reaching near, or slightly above 90 degrees each afternoon and the heat index making it feel a few degrees warmer. The hottest days will be Monday and Tuesday this week. A cold front should head our way late in the week, bringing cooler temperatures While the chance for rain will be low today through Tuesday, the daily chance for storms will still exist, especially mid to late week, as a series of frontal systems move through the region.
