HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – There’s been another delay in the case of the Harrisonburg man charged in connection with a shooting earlier this year outside the city limits.

Alfred Dale Eppard was scheduled to appear in general district court Tuesday afternoon; however, online records showed that the hearing was continued until September 11.

Eppard, 60, faces five charges, including attempted first-degree murder, in connection with the February 19th shooting on Peake Mountain Road west of Harrisonburg.

The 58-year-old victim was taken to UVA for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Rockingham County Sheriff Bryan Hutcheson, the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute.
