LEXINGTON, Va. (EMU Athletics) – Amidst a tough stretch in the ODAC schedule, the EMU Women’s Basketball team faced its steepest challenge yet: a road trip to Washington & Lee, who came into the night ranked fifth in both the D3Hoops.com and Women’s Basketball Coaches Association national polls for Division III. The Royals gave it their all, but it was the host Generals who won by the final of 70-28.

Kaylene Todd was the leading scorer for the Royals with seven points.

Mary Schleusner, the reigning ODAC Player of the Year, led the Generals with a double-double performance of 11 points and 15 rebounds. Riley Bryant and Caroline Shimp tallied 12 points apiece, while Sarah Zimmerman chipped in 10 points.
