Fatal Crash in Broadway Claims the Life of a Rockingham County Woman

BROADWAY, Va – Virginia State Police is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that happened earlier this week in Rockingham County.

Sergeant Brent Coffey reported that the crash occurred shorty before 11 am Tuesday on Daphna Road just north of Zion Church Road in the Broadway area.    

A 2007 Honda Civic was traveling south on Daphna Road when it ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, crossed the centerline, ran off the left side of the roadway, and collided with an embankment before it overturned.     

The driver of the Honda, 24-year-old Mckayla B. Miller of Rockingham, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sentara RMH Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
