It appears that more alcohol is being sold in Virginia.

The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority has reported an increase in profits of more than 54-million-dollars for fiscal year 2023.

The authority brought in nearly one-point-five-billion dollars from the sale of distilled spirits, wine, mixers and the collection of license fees and other revenue.

This week, the A-B-C Board adopted their new budget for fiscal year 2024. It projects a five-point-one percent growth in revenue with profits from retail sales alone reaching more than 244-million-dollars.
