Rockingham County schools are trying to sweeten the deal for students who show up for school every day this month.

Superintendent Dr. Larry Shifflett issued a challenge in a video on the school’s YouTube page.

Schools across the county have reportedly struggled with attendance after the pandemic.

Shifflett says one exception to the challenge applies to sick students. He says if a child is ill, they should stay home and get well.
