Rocktown High School is Set to Open This Fall

HARRISONBURG, Va – Rocktown High School is set to open this fall and Harrisonburg City School officials say they are almost ready.

The school division’s chief academic officer Joy Blosser explained during this week’s school board work session that of the district’s nearly 200 total high school staff, 83 will move to Rocktown High School while 115 staff members will remain at the current Harrisonburg High School.

Blosser told the board that the staff was given preference forms that took into consideration their school preference.

Blosser added that after careful deliberation, almost 90 percent of staff placement preferences were met.
