Page County Declares State of Emergency

LURAY, Va – Page County officials have declared a state of emergency.

In the declaration, officials note hazardous fire condition exist, which have led to numerous woods and brush fires.

Several communities have been asked to evacuate, including Fort Valley Road, Serenity Ridge, Shenandoah Forest, Massanuteen Forest and Egypt Bend Road.

Luray High School has been set up a temporary shelter during this emergency.

Should anyone need evacuation, please call 911 immediately.

Page County Schools are closed for tomorrow.
