Men arrested for Kohl’s jewelry theft

Harrisonburg Police report that two of the three men accused of stealing over 100-thousand dollars worth of jewelry last month from Kohl’s have been apprehended after trying to pull of the same heist days later in Alabama.

Lieutenant Todd Miller says the Kohl’s incident happened during the afternoon of November 11th.

Three days later, the same three suspects allegedly burglarized a jewelry store in Rainbow City, Alabama, and officers were there to capture two of the men while the third suspect was able to escape.

Arrested were 27-year-old Carlos Almarza Plaza and 26-year-old Karim Octavio Riquelme, both of Chile. The third suspect, identified as 27-year-old Jaime Otarola-Troncoso also of Chile, remains at large.

Miller says charges on all three are pending in other states as well.
