Customers of Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative and Dominion Energy are getting notices in the mail from those companies that they are replacing the home meters.

Greg Rogers of S-V-E-C said recently on Early Mornings that his company has worked to conduct the changeover systematically to not only replace the meters but also provides backup for those meters that still exist in the old system.

Rogers says the old electronic system has come to the end of its life span.
