A Harrisonburg man was found guilty of stealing thousands of dollars from this employer.

Online court records show that Christopher “CJ” Ritchie was convicted of a lesser charge of felony grand larceny yesterday in Rockingham County Circuit Court. He had been charged with felony embezzlement.

Authorities say their investigation began last summer when management from Dean Steel Erectors called the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.

Management told investigators that roughly $4,000 had been transferred between March and June from the company’s accounts to an account held by Ritchie’s husband.

Ritchie will be formally sentenced on December first.
