Bridgewater Men’s Soccer defeats Regent 11-1

The Bridgewater College men’s soccer team rolled to an 11-1 win over Regent on Tuesday at the Bridgewater Soccer Complex.  The Eagles have now won three straight games as they improve to 3-3.

Twelve different players scored at least one point for BC and they outshot Regent 42-8.  Nine different Eagles scored at least one goal and Sam Franklin led the way with a hat trick as he scored three goals.  David Franco added three assists and Alex Martinez finished with two helpers.  Bridgewater used three goalkeepers as Charles Schweinefuss started and earned the win as he shutout Regent in the first half.

Bridgewater is back in action Wednesday as they travel to Averett for a 6:00 p.m. kickoff.
